H J Ottewell was a wartime baby born in November 1944. Given up for adoption at 6 months old she grew up believing she was unwanted by her birth mother. Leaving school at 15 she began her working life as a Tracer and later as an Estimator for a large concrete construction company. She spent endless hours at a drawing board practising her handwriting and that is where her love of Calligraphy began. She married in her mid 20's and had 3 daughters and that is when her story telling began. Over the years her family grew and now she also has 7 grand children and 2 great grandchildren.
