An accomplished young man, James, joins the military and becomes a pastor while serving his country as a chaplain. During his service in the U.S. military he is injured and develops Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other medical conditions that push him to the edge. Ultimately, after the brutal loss of his spouse while serving in Guatemala, he returns home spiritually defeated. He eventually seeks treatment and volunteers at a local VA hospital where he meets Gracie, a spiritually filled woman who guides him back to the cross to receive grace from almighty God.
