While tucking her children in bed one night, author Katie Machoskie remembered a day when, as a child, she was convinced that her beloved Granny was really a witch. It became one of her kids' favorite bedtime stories and the beginning of the book Granny Goodwitch. One day, Sara hears her grandmother's magical laughter downstairs. Sara leaps out of her bedroom and slides down the banister to play with Granny. But suddenly, Sara catches a glimpse of the black, pointy shoes Granny is wearing. Yikes!! Could her grandmother actually BE a witch? Sara asks a series of humorous questions that Granny must answer to prove that she's NOT a witch.
