Fresh on the heels of a bad breakup, Joe Donovan returns to the town where he grew up, to live with his recently-divorced sister, and try to get his life back on track. Once home, he reunites with Danny, an old friend from his high school wrestling days, and rekindles a friendship that ended abruptly, twenty years earlier, on the night Joe's mother died. But reuniting with Danny brings back memories - and feelings - that Joe never quite understood, or knew how to deal with. Now, with a second chance in sight, will Joe be able to balance the struggles of his family and sort out his feelings at the same time, or will he and Danny come apart under the pressure, just like before?
