My past caught up with me one morning in the form of an unexpected email sent by someone I knew long ago, that sparked a challenging journey about love, compassion, forgiveness, and healing. The progression of my thoughts and feelings illustrates a transformational process. Learning to understand the other person's experiences in this life that influenced their thinking and behavior helped. Past lives can influence us as well. I offer an example of the determination that may be needed to win the prize of acceptance and closure leading to a release of emotional trauma. There are unusual and unexpected metaphysical occurrences along the way. As a communicator with the spirit world, I knew I was being guided by unseen forces that kept leading me forward to learn lessons I knew I needed to share with the world.
