Excerpt from Henry Baker and Some of His Descendants Administrations, which are still preserved, the testators of which lived at Horton, Nantwich, Oldcastle, Ashton, Wrexham, Pickmere, Crew, etc., but there is no external evidence to show that any of these were of the family from which Henry was descended unless it was Alice Baker of Newton within Makesfield, widow, 1669. And though she lived at the same place and time as Henry, the names mentioned in her fillg are not similar to those in Henry's immediate family.
