Excerpt from Incidents of a Collector's Rambles in Australia, New Zealand, and New Guinea AS many friends have urged my brother and myself to publish an account of our travels, I have undertaken the task, with the hope that what I here relate may prove of interest to those who love to rub against Nature. A collector's life is not always a merry one, but is filled with a great variety of experiences. The illustrations I have tried to make true to what they represent. They are taken from sketches made on the spot, from the actual specimens or good photo graphs, and are drawn with the pen. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. Find more at www.forgottenbooks.com This book is a reproduction of an important historical work. Forgotten Books uses state-of-the-art technology to digitally reconstruct the work, preserving the original format whilst repairing imperfections present in the aged copy. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in our edition. We do, however, repair the vast majority of imperfections successfully; any imperfections that remain are intentionally left to preserve the state of such historical works.
