Jaylynn's First Day Jitters is a story by LaTonja Walker, where young Jaylynn faces his fears on his first day at a new school. He was so nervous about fitting in at the new school, but all of that went away when he met Ms. Walker, his third-grade teacher, who was lively and unconventional in her ways to engage students with humor, wit, and her own unique teaching style. Ms. Walker has been very helpful, allowing Jaylynn to have fun and express his creativity through beatboxing as well as various interactive activities with a great understanding of the personality of each individual. At the end of the day, Jaylynn's fears are overruled by excitement about this school year full of learning, self-discovery, and friendship.
