This is the true story of the relationship between 'Sally', John and his dementia.All other characters are fictional. 'Sally' leaves her home country of Australia, meets and marries John and settles down to a happy married life. However, She realizes quite soon that there is something wrong. The more unusual his behaviour, the more determined she is to discover the truth about his secretive family. The arrival of two children, the constant struggles with a difficult mother-in-law and a hostile bureaucracy increase the tension until finally matters come to a head and the mystery about John is resolved. In spite of all of their troubles, Sally is convinced that the bond between John and herself as a couple remains.
