Some are thinking patrolman Jones should have been promoted by this time. There are always budget questions, but money is never the issue when it should be done. The way he is made aware of the upcoming exam’s is not the usual way. Reading it on the board, is the normal way. He begins studying for them. It cuts into his movie time and other visits with detective Rage. But it does not interfere with his shooting date with her. He becomes a patrol sgt and will still spend most of his time in his patrol car. Usually the new sgt is moved to a new area.
