Wall assemblages and totemic sculptures with help from a surprising assistant Houston-based sculptor Joseph Havel (born 1954) consistently challenges traditional perceptions of form, texture and space through his sculptures to address themes such as ecology, fragility, balance and transformation. His most recent exhibition featured work coauthored with his pet parrot, Hannah, during the Covid pandemic.
