A great second wine pick in 2024. Fragrant nose, really aromatic and perfumed with a deep violet rim. Liquorice, black chocolate, violets. Supple and nicely filling with a lifted, juicy almost sweet acidity on the mid palate - chalky blueberries, cool cherries and lots of liquorice but fresh and so clean. Nicely structured - you can feel the frame here - this isn't a light wine, very sophisticated and well balanced. Totally charming at this point. Concentration and density here, such a refined touch, really stunning. I love this wine! Great fresh mintiness too. 30th vintage - special etched bottle to commemorate. 2% Petit Verdot completes the blend. Ageing 20% new barrels. 3.52pH. Drinking window: 2029-2038.
