Narrated 'Imran bin Husain: The Prophet said, "I looked at Paradise and found poor people forming the majority of its inhabitants; and I looked at Hell and saw the majority of its inhabitants were women." Hadith-Sahih Bukhari 4:464. UNTIL THEY KNOW... And to think of the countless Arab women Beautiful creatures of God Almighty Who are locked up in darkened homes No freedom to embrace the Light of the world Then ask my heart, "O Lord, when shall these know Of the Light that comes from Thee?" But when they know that Jesus died to save them, And when they know the grace He can impart, When Jesus shines His love divine within them, When He transforms their darkened sinful hearts, Then they shall sing, "My Savior God to Thee How Great Thou Art, how Great Thou Art" Yahya [unpublished, Aug. 16th 1997] Across the Arab world, and in other places among Muslims, women [widows, divorcees, wives, daughters, mothers,] are in the majority. The honor of families is upheld by them. In many cases, several of them have unbending attachment to Islam. Penetrating into their secluded lives behind the veil, and building bridges into their lives, seeking opportunities to present the gospel creatively and sensitively to them, is one ministry thrust that several ladies [along with their husbands] who are followers of Christ have dedicated their lives and professions to pursue. They do so with a longing in their hearts to call them 'sisters.' Arab women are daughters of Eve, beautifully built...warm...neat...friendly...hospitable, colorful but are lost, far away from Christ, in the system of Islam. As daughters growing up in the society, they are a cherished commodity. Then as wives, they become a protected property. And as mothers with children, they are like the Crescent and the Cradle.
