Book 4 "Life Goes On" picks up where Book 3 "Surprises" ended. Suzy and Katie not only have a newly remodeled house to move into, but Suzy, along with Katie must deal with the death of Richard, and the finalization of his last wishes and his will, where we finally learn exactly what the medical condition was that effectively ended his and Susan's marriage, and brought Suzy and Katie together. Richard's last wishes were detailed and far reaching, for he not only made the girls financially secure for the rest of their lives, but he manage to bring together all of the families involved to celebrate his lifes end. With Richard's last wishes fulfilled, Suzy and Katie begin to move forward with their lives as a committed couple. Both return to their former careers, while they planned for the exibition of Katie's mothers paintings. With total finiancial security, Katie elects to go out on her own business wise, and opens her business is a suite of offices in the same building above Suzy's antique business. The story reaches its climax, or climaxes, when the girls host an open house at their new house, for the ladies from around the piano, at their club, along with some special friends.
