Life is ever-changing.
We’ve all lived through trying times, life-altering events, and special moments that make it seem as though nobody else could ever have felt the same way. But that often isn't the case. We may believe our experiences are unique and different, but they're usually not.
These personal and heartfelt poems are my own perspective and experiences. They were written over twenty years ago and I feel they are still relevant, even today.
People tend to drift in and out of our lives. People we knew then, are not the people we know now. World view and societal changes are constantly shifting, and we try to adjust. But our deep-rooted thoughts and feelings remain the same.
We believe we are adapting and tailoring ourselves to fit in with the world around us, but in our truest hearts, we are who we are...despite our best efforts.
