It turns out a bad date CAN be the end of the universe. After suffering a great loss, ex-janitor Lock Ferguson ends up representing the United States at the Celestial Moot, a gathering of various alien races. It seems the universe isn't done using him as a human chew-toy, however, as a past blunder with an alien ex-girlfriend has set off a chain reaction that might be the end of everything. Lock and his misfit friends must try and save the universe, but a new alien has entered the mix, one with a remarkably familiar face and strange, powerful abilities.
