This personal narrative tells the story of two survivors of the Rwandan genocide of 1994 who managed to escape to what is now famous as the Hotel Rwanda. At once a love story and a harrowing inside look at the terrible events, their story of survival is also a story of faith--an effort to find God in the midst of horror--and of their subsequent struggles to find meaning, healing, and reconciliation.
