Our non-alc lager is a light golden colour, with delicate fruity notes and gently hopped character. Brewed with a blend of certified organic Hersbrucker hops, malted barley and wheat using only traditional brewing methods. Two decades after co-founding Mill Street Brewery, Steve Abrams felt it was time to turn over a new hop. With the same deep-rooted love for beer, but a need to step back from alcohol, Steve launched Harmon’s Craft Brewing in Toronto during the global “pause”. Partnering with ex-Mill Street brewmaster Rob Doyle, the duo created a lineup of non-alcoholic brews that bring the same craft quality, without the hangover. This team of two takes the long way to achieve their liquid gold – no arrested fermentation, dealcoholizing technology, or commercial enzymes – using only traditional brewing methods plus a new strain of yeast that keeps their cans under 0.5% alcohol but with all the flavour you’d expect from a “regular” craft beer. Sustainability is at the core of Harmon’s brewing process. By avoiding dealcoholizing methods, they’re creating more work for themselves, but according to Steve, that’s the essence of craft beer: beautifully inefficient. Sticking to their craft roots, Steve and Rob brew in small batches with ingredients selected from Germany, the Pacific Northwest and Canada. Harmon’s first concoctions were born from tasting sessions in empty parking lot during the pandemic; fast forward to today, and the company now offers four core brews (including certified organic Lunchbox Lager) and a rotating lineup of delicious seasonal flavours.
