Historic images from a large private collection of Marblehead memorabilia. An inside look at life in this small seaside town from 1860 through 1992. The images were reproduced from original glass negatives, film negatives, color slides, cards, original photographs and other memorabilia from the private collection. Dan Dixey, the author, owns the private collection and has deep roots in the town. Dan is a direct descendant of Thomas Dixey, the ferryman, that lived and worked in Marblehead beginning in 1636. The family has been part of the town's history since it's founding.
