The author of this book, Dee Livers, was raised by her grandfather and grandmother on a small farm near Salisbury, Missouri. She had a wonderful childhood and she learned so much from her grandfather. She helped him take care of their garden and protect all of their baby animals. However, the most important lesson she learned from her Pappy was how to be a good person. Unfortunately, Pappy passed away many years ago. She still wished that her wonderful grandchildren could meet her grandfather so that they could learn from him as well. Dee, Max and Eva, discussed possible options. Max was the one who remembered that the city's Science Museum had recently received several Time Machines. They were surprised to find out that they were built by their nephew, Uncle Jeff. This is how the adventure began!
