Nush Mati Shkreli-Vata recounts his family's life, growing up in 1800s and early 1900s Albania, with the social customs and political turmoil that surrounded that region. Now illustrated with maps and colourized photos from the time, the memoirs describe the family's rise and fall in prominence, internment and flight from persecution as the political climate was rocked by the Balkan and World Wars.
