Memories from Norway Book 1: This picture book is a record of a part of a cruise along the Norwegian coastline, but also getting to the ship. It is one of 5 such books. This book starts with the train trip from Oslo to Bergen, the departure point for the cruise. It includes the Flåm railway and a short stay in that delightful town. From there it covers the fjord cruise to Gudvangen (waterfalls) and then Voss. From Voss it was train to Bergen with some time spent in this historic port. Finally it takes the trip as far as the cruise ship about to depart the inner waters of Norway for the North Sea. The book provides some insight into what could be seen on such a typical trip. Each photograph has an adjoining page with a brief explanation. It is meant to show what an average person could see on such a cruise: good weather and bad! As one of the world’s last really isolated natural wonders, it is easy to get a huge range of photographs of the land, the sea and some of the bird life. The file size limit of the eBook format is the reason for 5 books. The original photographs (taken by author, an amateur, with amateur equipment) are very large and so need compressing to fit in the file limit.
