Mic Drop is the inspiring story of the life and work of James E. West. While West is best known as the co-inventor of the microphone that was used in every telephone and hearing aid in the world for decades, he had to overcome significant racism in order to thrive in his life and career. He was one of the first Black men to be inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame and the National Academy of Engineering.
