Susanna Solomon, a resident of both San Anselmo and Point Reyes Station, finds humor and delight in the Sheriff's Calls printed in the local newspaper the Point Reyes Light, where she draws inspiration for her short stories. This is the second collection.
Susanna Solomon makes her home in Northern California where she splits her time between Point Reyes Station and San Anselmo. She’s been writing a long time and her work has appeared in the Point Reyes Light, The MacGuffin Review, Foliate Oak Magazine, Meat for Tea – The Valley Review, the Redwood Writers Anthology, The Literary Journal of Carteret Writers, the West Wind Centennial, and on line in The Mill Valley Literary Review and Harlots Sauce Radio, an ezine.
Her first book of short stories, Point Reyes Sheriff’s Calls, came out in 2013.
In the early seventies she started writing for newspapers, where one newspaper set her work in hot type. After covering local news, city councils and writing several investigative pieces, she made a life change in the early 80s and entered engineering school where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. She’s been an electrical engineer ever since. For the last sixteen years she’s owned and operated her own consulting business.
Although electrical engineering is her profession, writing is her passion and her love.
