Excerpt from Mother, Home, and Heaven After the whole of this book, including the preface, had been prepared for the press, the writer found that a volume, with identical] y the same title, was published some years ago by Mrs. Beecher-stowe in the United States, where it has had a very large circulation. As the said volume, which the writer has never seen, was apparently unknown in Eu gland, he hopes his own publication may make its way here, and would be glad to think that it may receive a generous welcome even from Americans, at least on this side of the water.
