They called it the evening hate. Gun shots, ringing in the dead of night from the side of the mountain pass, fired into a crisp, star-filled sky. Nestled in the snow-filled valley below, residents in the sleepy town of Turquoise sit on their porches and wonder, listening out for old Mr. Buechner and his clockwork assault on the heavens. A lament, almost pitiful… but certainly dutiful. But this winter, the winds are aggressively howling through the pass with a greater ferocity than they've ever done previous, masking the cries of the wild man of the hill. And in this strangely beautiful and isolated part of Alberta, mysteries are becoming more common place. Shrieker mountain is certainly living up to its name, and reputation. This particular Christmas, Mr. Buechner has decided to pay Turquoise a little visit. But when a mysterious, cantankerous man leaves his abode – even for the shortest spell – it's a guarantee that peace, joy and goodwill on earth, may well be short-lived. However, this particular Yuletide season, there might be an entirely different reason for his presence altogether. Mr. Buechner has a personal score to settle with the mountain, and he might need to stir a little trouble, and get in a few faces, to bring matters to a firm, resounding close.
