This prayer preparation had much to do with the success of the Des Moines gathering. Mention should be made of the remarkable hospitality of the people in Des Moines. A sufficient number of homes were thrown open to make it possible, together with the hotel accommodations offered, to entertain a thousand more delegates than actually at tended the Convention.
