After a pack of Kool cigarettes tucked in his shirt pocket saves Joseph Fender from a fatal gunshot wound, a local gangster and bar owner takes him under his wing. Dubbed the nickname “Kool”, after the pack of cigarettes, Kool learns about every illegal fragment connected to the life of crime. A seemingly fateful job brings Kool to a carnival, where he meets Lyndsy. The sparks fly immediately. To his overwhelming relief, she accepts his troubled past and current illegal actions. Doucet is a storyteller of the true and imaginative and is also a published author and poet. He plays the harmonica and a little guitar and writes songs but hasn’t had any luck selling one yet.
