“Oxford is famous for its literary associations: from Chaucer’s Clerk of Oxenford through the immortal characters created by Lewis Carroll, to Lyra and Inspector Morse in our own era. It is brilliant to see that tradition embodied in an inspiring and diverse group of young story-tellers, some of the Oxford writers of the next period in our history. Every story featured in this book is from a budding author with real talent, and I wish them all the very best for the future.” —Deputy and Former Lord Mayor of Oxford, Councillor Mike Rowley
This unique collection of stories was created by schoolchildren in Oxfordshire. There are five stories, all individually illustrated. As far as we know, this is the first book in Oxford written by children, for children. Our intended readers are between the ages of 6 and 10. Special care and attention has been made to make the colours, fonts, and other features dyslexia-friendly.
