The first 2025 tasted, this is a lively, typical, slightly edgy South African shiraz delivered for a song price-wise. The nose is lifted with all kinds of complex syrah meatiness, pepper, clove, tarragon, smoke and cran-cherry fruit. It is a bit slim, edgy and tart-edged but the flavour acuity and depth is impressive. Some bloody-ferrous character on the finish, typical of South Africa. Tasted January 2026 Score - 90.
