Possessing Your Pleasant Mountains is a religious/motivational book. It is based on Joshua 17:14–18. The children of Joseph complained about the piece of land that they received when they got to the Promised Land. They knew that God had promised to give them a large land of milk and honey. However, when they finally received it, they discovered that it was too small for them. The land was also inhabited by people who had dangerous weapons. The leader named Joshua reminded them that the land was good and their portion could be enlarged to accommodate all their people. He told them that they had been empowered to possess their mountains regardless of the challenges. All they needed was a new mind-set. I then motivate people today that they can do anything that they put their mind on regardless of their background, education, race, or gender. I include inspiring biblical stories as examples of people who achieved greatness such as David, Joseph, Joshua, and others. I also include inspirational stories of people who achieved great things against all odds, such as Alek Wek, Natalie du Toit, Rhulani Baloyi, Captain Chesley Sullenberger, and others.
