This book is written by Sigfried R. Second-Jumper, a Chiricahua Apache, who grew up among the Florida Seminoles. He was instrumental in reuniting the Oklahoma Seminoles with their Florida kin after 184 years of separation. As a participant, the author reveals the firsthand chronicles of a five-day event that took place in 2022. On April 3, 2022, the author was among members of the two Seminole Nations when they joined hands at the Loxahatchee Battlefield Park in Jupiter, Florida to retrace the footsteps of their ancestors, those who fought and died there, and those who left Florida to Oklahoma wearing shackles and chains.
