The ripeness of the vintage is easily evident in this very approachable cabernet franc. The colour is quite deep ruby. The nose is generous and flush with ripe raspberry/blackberry fruit, violets, light tobacco, barrel spice and vanillin. Almost a sense of licorice as well. It is medium-full bodied with modest, soft acidity and 14.3% alcohol warmth. But the fruit is so present that heat is cooled. Tannins are dusty/crusty but not green. The length is excellent. Approachable now and should please through 2030 and perhaps beyond. Tasted February 2026. Score - 92.
