Excerpt from The Extraordinary Voyage in French Literature From 1700 to 1720 In The Extraordinary Voyage in French Literature before 1700, I have acknowledged my indebtedness to M. Danson for his original suggestion of this field of research and for his continued interest while I was preparing that study for publication. It is a pleasure to acknowledge here the more recent inspiration and advice received from M. Lanson in the summer of 1920. His suggestions for this second book, at a time when I was reading in Paris and had access to the original documents, have been invaluable. About the Publisher Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. Find more at www.forgottenbooks.com This book is a reproduction of an important historical work. Forgotten Books uses state-of-the-art technology to digitally reconstruct the work, preserving the original format whilst repairing imperfections present in the aged copy. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in our edition. We do, however, repair the vast majority of imperfections successfully; any imperfections that remain are intentionally left to preserve the state of such historical works.
