On March 18, 1990, two men uniformed in Boston blue rapped on the glass lobby doors of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and warned of a disturbance call they had received. Against standing orders, the young guard unlocked the door to the two men and unwittingly started an 81-minute heist of $500 million in master works of art, including Rembrandt's only seascape: The Storm at Galilee. The painting has never been recovered. Now, 23 years later, another heist is being planned. A madman intends to steal the power of Mother Nature herself and create a massive hurricane - the storm of the century- which will devastate the United States from the Gulf Coast region all the way up the eastern seaboard - and that's just the beginning. When the legitimate scientific community dismisses the concept as ludicrous, the only two people who can save the world are a young, ambitious asset recovery specialist and a washed-up former FBI agent.
