Jack is the leader of the higher-ranked demons and thus Steven does not have the immunity as a free human as he does with other demons. While they work on their differences, Steven is abducted by one of the higher-ranked of the most feared demon, Mossmao. Having to involve the queen to help recover Steven, Jack is faced with a harsh reality. The demon that has abducted Steven is his human's mate and persists on his attempts to flirt with Steven. This demon never ceases to appear and comes up with excuses to be with Steven. Will Jack lose Steven to a powerful demon from the enemy side? Is Mossmao going to attack the queen?
