Gillian Landeris a crime novelist who, for the last three-and-a-half years, has been slowly recovering from the distressing events she endured in October 2017. Determined to regain her self-esteem, she has decided to write a fictional crime story based on her traumatic experience. However, as someone who still suffers from depression and anxiety, Gillian has been struggling to keep focused. She has therefore booked herself into a remote hotel on Dartmoor where, under the pseudonym Celia Blackstow, she hopes to use the solace of the moor and its notorious mists to inspire herself to write her novel.
