He is a former Fulbright English Teaching Assistant at the National University of Mongolia and is TESOL certified. He has taught English in Asia for five years and has published stories in several literary magazines in America. His Hippo books include Hassan and Lulu and My Brother the Giant, as well as many short story collections. After graduating from the University of Michigan with a degree in linguistics, Jill Prior traveled across three continents, teaching English and doing volunteer work. She has contributed to several of Hippo Books' collections of short stories, including Silent Night and Tales of Mythical Creatures. Jill speaks fluent Chinese and is a licensed pilot.
