Imodale was born in Freetown Sierra Leone where she attended the Annie Walsh Memorial School. She then travelled to the United States of America seeking a university education where she met Clive Burnett in the 1960s. Married for 55 years, Imodale Caulker- Burnett lives with her husband Clive in Midlothian Virginia, United States. She is a retired Family Nurse Practitioner, Substance Abuse Consultant and Healing Touch Practitioner. Her interest in family history led her to write a book "The Caulkers of Sierra Leone - The Story of a ruling family," to give the children of the family information about their roots. She followed that with a personal account in her latest book, "Raised by a Village- My Story." It became inevitable that she would turn to writing about Clive whose life she has shared over many years feeling convinced it had to be told. This is her story about the unsung talented footballer from Trinidad, Clive Burnett who has been her husband and soulmate living together in the United States these past 55 years.
