It has been said that you should be best friends with your undertaker because he is always the last person to let you down! Two great things about Colossians three. First, it is explicit about what we are to get out of our lives...Put to death...Mortify. In a way we become the "Undertaker" in our own lives when we are to Mortify whatever is in our lives that is worldly. We're not getting legalistic...just staying with what the Bible says. Things like sexual immorality and idolatry. Second, we are told what we should put into our lives. I hate when people are so generous in telling me what I cannot do. God doesn't want that for us. He does not put us in a cage to restrict us from everything. The things, you, the "Undertaker" will need to bury from your life is necessary. And, what God wants to replace those things with is GREAT! Colossians three is a MAP for your life. It's a MAP that will take you from just living to living GREAT! It begins by being friends with your "Undertaker." Since Don Betts was a young man he has always had a burning passion to proclaim the Gospel and lead people to saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
