This book is for you, as much as the poems are directly about me, believe me it is for you. To encourage you to write your own stories and your own poetry. To remember your grade 5 self that their words matter, that you matter. This book is for you; the one that battles with self image- constantly wanting to look different. This book is for you; the one that knows or is someone with a mental health illness. This book is for you the one seeking to be loved. The poems of my life is a book of rhyming poetry I wrote from age 10- 29 about love, family, self image, mental health and more. As you read you will see my theme of poetry shift and at times remain constant, my rhymes evolve and my story pan out. I hope you can see yourself in me.
