On 28th January 2014, there was a countywide raid by the CBI for alleged recruitment fraud committed in Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL), a unit of Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL), which took place in the year 2007-08. The CBI started its witch-hunt in the year 2014 but by then most top executives of Bokaro Steel Plant(BSL) relating to the recruitment processes, including the then MD, Bokaro Steel Plant, Sri VK Srivastava had retired from the Company. The author, Mr. Anuj Hemrom, who was still in service in 2014 till he retired in Dec 2019, was made the scapegoat by the CBI, Dhanbad in all the false recruitment cases filed by it in connivance with the Vigilance Dept. of SAIL.The author though battered and bruised by the CBI and his own employer, M/s Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL), fought back against the injustice he had to face in the organization he served for almost 33 years.This book is about the ordeal of the author during the witch-hunt carried out by the CBI, Dhanbad assisted by the internal Vigilance Dept. of SAIL, which was started during the last few years of his career and still continues even after his retirement.***Anuj S Hemrom joined Bokaro Steel Plant as a Management Trainee (Admn) in Oct, 1986 and worked in the Steel Plant in various capacities of the Personnel Dept. He was transferred to SAIL Refractory Unit (SRU) in Jan 2013 on his promotion to the post of DGM (SRU) where he looking after the area of Safety, Business Excellence, Environment and Risk Management till his retirement in Dec 2019.
