This novel is mostly based on the author's personal experience in Hollywood as a "sideman" for various singers and groups over the years. He would play on the side of the stage while the STAR would be the "frontman" performing on the front of the stage.
In talking with various successful rock artists, he obtained stories on how they were raised and their unique introductions to music. This would include them from developing their personal music skills to becoming a rock star. It was a long "ROAD" for most of them, hence the title of this book.
The main character in this Novel is John "Wailing" Wagner. This character is based on personal stories of various artists and how they shaped their performing skills of rock and roll. These are shown as the experie nces of the fictious character John Wager.
