Excerpt from The Sinbad Mines: A Tale of the Rockies The pen-pictures are true to nature, most of them having been noted by the author during his quite extensive travels, extending through many years, and over several countries; many of the incidents related being personal reminiscences, while the descriptions of scenery and frontier life are portray als of times and customs which are fast fading from even the wildest parts of the Rockies. All of the poems, with the exception of two, for which due credit is given, were written expressly for this book by the author.
