This book may be considered to be Volume II of the Hikayat Muhammad Hanafiyyah (1975). This publication contains an abbreviated translation of the Malay text. The translation is annotated to enable a running comparison with the Persian original. Moreover, the commentaries that follow some of the chapters have been translated to determine the position of the account of the H.M.H vis à vis historical reality and Muslim tradition.
