The Trail to Revenge draws together two lonely souls when both are left behind as survivors after murderous rampages. Shortly after the Civil War in Indian Territory west of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Sarah is widowed by a band of marauding Indians following her brief marriage. She grew up in the East, completed finishing school, and married an Army officer. But her joy was very brief. She meets a Texan who is also on a quest for vengeance. Sam lived on a ranch near San Antonio, when he and his father were ambushed by rustlers and his father was killed. Sam is reluctant to help Sarah, but she convinces him that together they can form an alliance to satisfy both their needs. Gerald D. Huchel grew up in Illinois, joined the Navy, earned a master's degree from the University of Arkansas, and then worked in the academic world and for a manufacturing company until his retirement. He lives with his wife of fifty-six years, Louise, in Millington, Tennessee. The author has also written two children's books. Publisher's website: http: //sbprabooks.com/GeraldDHuchel
