After escaping the advances of the deranged scientist, Saber, Lilitu finds herself heading back into his domain after hearing that he may have hidden her father. Joining her on her travels is Dierdre, a young woman with strong connections to both her father and Saber, Elvin, a young man who has yet to have bloodied his hands in a broken world, and Peppy, a cheery girl with hope despite her complicated past.
