This is my instruction book for you. It is a "life" instruction book, THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW TO LIVE BUT THEY DON'T TEACH YOU IN HIGH SCHOOL. I can't tell you the last time I used the Pythagorean Theorem, but I can tell you that yesterday I bought a roll of stamps, mailed two envelopes, and called two doctors offices. Things They Don't Teach You In High School teaches you how to perform many life skills, what you need to know to do it and include links to websites. Who Should I Give My Social Security Number To? How Do I fill Out A W-4? What do I do if I get pulled over? How do I survive if I get lost in the woods? Often, education does not include life skills such as recognizing a Toxic Relationship or What Are A Landlords Responsibility. When my own children didn't know how to fill out a thank you envelope, I started asking the youth athletes that I worked with the same questions that I asked them. "What do you do if you get in a car accident?", "What Is A Credit Score?", "How Do You Open A Checking Account?" and they didn't know the answers. That set me on a mission to write a book to help emerging young adults learn the skills they need to succeed at LIFE
