Tornatore's 2021 Pietrarizzo Rosso pours a typically pale red garnet colour, and presents an attractive set of aromatics featuring wild strawberry and wild herbs, dried earth and tonic qualities in an appealing display. The palate is medium-full bodied, fleshy and fluid, with very good depth and concentration, one of the best vintages so far for this single contrada bottling. I find the balance impeccable and the palate seamless. Drink or hold into the early '30s. Tasted October 2024. Score - 93.
