An assemblage of merlot, cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc, vinified separately and then aged a substantial 30 months in French oak before being blended. Juicy and lush with a voluminous tannic mouthfeel, fresh red fruit, gentle oak spice and tertiary notes of iron, dried leaf and leather. Not too heavy, nicely balanced and with very good concentration and length. Best now to 2025. Tasted November 2022. Score - 91.
